Unfortunately, by their very nature bunkers are very hard to get into without codes, keys, or proper authorization. Several underground bunkers in the United States capital contain equipment that send short wave transmission to possibly call for help or to warn the world of any possible threats. Depending on the scale and type of bunker you are in, there may be dormitories, kitchens, cafeterias, medical facilities, and even armories. They were built with strong metal and concrete walls and sometimes impenetrable doors to keep out radiation from fallout and any other kind of chemical or biological hazard that may be in the air. During the Cold War, numerous bunkers were built throughout the United States to house and secure VIPs, government officials, and military hardware and personnel.
